How long does it take to set up an account? Orders can be set up in less than 5 minutes but not greater than 24 hours. How much do you charge for domain registration? We can register your .com, .net., or .org domains for $15 per year, however we suggest you register your own domain at GoDaddy.com so you have untimate control over your domain administration. Can I host international domains? Yes, we currently have clients that use .ca, .il, .tc, .nu, .ve, .jp, and many other international domain names. Do you offer NT or UNIX plans? We offer UNIX web hosting accounts (Red Hat Linux). We do not handle Windows on any machines due to its overall instability and obsessive cost for licensing. How do I access my Cpanel control panel? You can login to your Cpanel control panel at http://yoursite.com/cpanel where "yoursite" is your own domain name. What shoud I set my nameservers to? Primary Nameserver: NS1.TREOHOST.COM Secondary Nameserver: NS2.TREOHOST.COM How do I FTP into my account? First you must obtain an FTP program such as Cute FTP or WS_FTP. Once you have an FTP program, type in "yourdomain.com" as the host address. Supply your username and password in the according fields. Once logged in, you have complete access to your account. Where are my statistics? Click the report button after logging into Cpanel and hit the Webalizer option. This will open a new window to Webalizer with all your statistics for that domain. What is the full path to my cgi-bin? /home/username/public_html/cgi-bin Which folder do I load my web pages to? You should place all of your web documents in the public_html directory. I keep getting errors when trying to publish with Frontpage? The most common problem is not using the full url when uploading your site. Make sure you use the entire http://www.domain.com in the address you are attempting to publish to. Can I have CGI outside of the bin? Yes, CGI will function in the public_html folder. What version of Perl comes installed on your servers? Perl 5.8.7. What version of PHP comes installed on your servers? PHP 4.4.2. What version of MySQL comes installed on your servers? MySQL 4.1.14 What is the correct path to Perl? /usr/bin/perl What is the correct path to sendmail? /usr/sbin/sendmail How long does it take for my DNS changes to update world wide? Normally you can expect to see your web site DNS to change within 24 hours once you have made the modifications at your registrar. However, we have seen it take up to 7 days in some cases where registrars and ISPs are a little slower. Why isn't my SSI working? In order for SSI to be executed, you must rename all of your web pages to .shtml rather than .htm or .html. This solves the majority of SSI errors. Do you have a spam blocker for our POP3 or IMAP email accounts? Yes, you can use Spambox™, a simple but effective human verification system. It's not perfect, but a spammer would have to be pretty desperate to try getting around it. We find that in most cases, they don't bother. It's use is of course optional, and configurable. How will I know if I'm almost out of available disk space? You can monitor your disk usage and many other statistics from your control panel. Our server will also send you an automated email notifying you that it might be time for an upgrade. Or send us a customer and we'll upgrade you for free when they sign up. Will you make my website for me? We do offer a template customization service, which can be found HERE. You provide the content and we'll take care of the rest. We have many professional looking templates to choose from. We also do custom graphics, so if your company needs a logo, feel free to Contact us. Do you provide Domain names too? We do, and if you email us we'll gladly get your domain name for you, but we've found that in many cases, it best to let you maintain control over your own domain name.
